Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our dedicated Bulk Chemical team at McColl's Transport.

This is an ideal role for those who are looking to commence their career in Transport and Logistics, offering opportunities for growth and professional development.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling fleet and staff movements, including monitoring hours and delays. They will also allocate and coordinate customer bookings and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner, aligning with business expectations.

In addition, they will build relationships with our current customer base, ensuring a high level of service is offered. The role will involve working on an out-of-hours rotating roster, as well as monitoring and managing all aspects of fatigue compliance.

The Logistics Operations Coordinator will also assist with payroll-related activities, manage up-to-date driver paperwork, and contribute to the commercial process of the division when required.

Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within Transport and Logistics;
  • Ability to collaborate within a motivated team;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • High level of computer literacy and attention to detail;
  • Previous experience or understanding of COR, NHVAS, BFM, and Mass Management compliance accreditation systems and regulatory requirements;
  • Willingsness to undertake short-term travel if required.
Estimated Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus superannuation and other benefits.
