Water Treatment Maintenance Role

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team in maintaining and operating water treatment plant and equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring process, maintenance and operational issues, with a strong safety focus. They will assess plant operations, assist in commissioning, optimisation and reporting on status or condition of plant and systems. The role also involves responding to and rectifying alarms generated by SCADA, undertaking laboratory analysis and sample collection, troubleshooting problems with plant, equipment and processes, and undertaking first-line preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance duties as required.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have trade qualifications or experience in water treatment operations, experience in the maintenance of water treatment plant and equipment, and demonstrated problem solving capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring all process, maintenance and operational issues occurring on a day to day basis.
  • Strong safety focus with a proactive approach to improving safety and risk management.
  • Assessing plant operations and assisting in plant commissioning, optimisation, monitoring and reporting on status or condition of plant and systems.
  • Responding to and rectifying alarms generated by SCADA.
  • Undertaking laboratory analysis and sample collection.
  • Troubleshooting problems with plant, equipment and processes.
  • Undertaking first-line preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualifications or water treatment operations experience (Highly regarded).
  • Experience in the maintenance of water treatment plant and equipment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving capability.
