Wholesale Risk Specialist Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Wholesale Risk team as a specialist in credit risk management. You will participate in key risk management activities, including quantitative risk analysis and operations, to identify and measure risks related to wholesale and retail market activities.

You will have direct exposure to a highly regarded trading team and work with and learn from an experienced team lead. Your impact will be significant as you provide technical credit risk management advice and analysis to assist decision-making and oversight of our risk exposure.

  • Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely assessment of Credit Risk of counterparties to various commodity wholesale and retail markets.
  • Tracking of credit risk metrics and regular compilation of reports to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Providing governance and controls around the activities and operations of the trading team.
  • Supporting compliance with AML/CTF regulations by performing counterparty checks and Know Your Customer (KYC) activities.
  • Supporting the broader risk team with market risk activities.
About This Role

To succeed in this role, you will require:

Tertiary Qualification in a Quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics, computer science, finance or equivalent)

Ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative information to assess risk comprehensively.

Proven operational excellence, demonstrating understanding of processes and regulations, attention to detail and timely delivery of results.

Experience with financial risk assessment tools (risk metrics, cash flow at risk, stress testing).

Familiarity with cloud-computing environments (advantageous but not essential).
