Job Title: Specialised Support Worker

We are seeking several permanent part-time Specialised Support Workers to provide care and support services to our clients across Port Macquarie and surrounding suburbs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have a genuine passion for working with older people and supporting them to live independently in their homes. As a Specialised Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with everyday tasks such as showering, dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.

In addition to providing personal care and domestic assistance, you will also be required to travel to clients' homes using your own car, for which you will be reimbursed $0.99 cents per kilometre plus paid travel time.

About the Role:
  • Provide essential care and support to help older people live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
  • Assist clients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and laundry.
  • Transport clients to appointments and assist with shopping.
  • Administer medication as required.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy when interacting with clients. Previous experience in aged or community care is desirable, but not necessary. A valid driver's licence and access to an insured, reliable car (minimum third-party property insurance) are also essential requirements.
