HammondCare At Home is expanding its services and seeking several permanent part-time Specialised Carers to support clients across the Port Macquarie and surrounding suburbs. The areas include Trumster, Kew, Dunbogan, Laurieton, North Haven, Wauchope, Coopernook, King Creek, Redbank, Taree, Bulahdelah, Stroud, Kempsey, Hawks Nest, and Tea Gardens.
Our specialised carers receive a work mobile phone, paid travel time, and kilometres. We offer flexible days, start and finish times, and weekend loading if you choose to work weekends.
About The Role
In this role, you'll provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes, directly improving their quality of life. You will need to travel to clients' homes using your own car, for which you'll be paid $0.99 per km plus paid travel time.
Your care tasks may include:
- Providing personal care, such as assistance with showering and dressing
- Helping around the home, including meal preparation and light cleaning
- Providing transportation to appointments and assisting with shopping
- Assisting with medication management
About You
You can relate well to people, are patient, and solutions-focused. Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred but not necessary, as training can be provided. You must have a valid driver's license, access to an insured, reliable car (minimum third-party property insurance), and ideally hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. Flexibility to meet the changing needs of clients is essential.
Benefits
The hourly rate ranges from $31.31 to $34.12, plus $0.99/km, paid travel time, and a mobile phone. We provide full training, secure 14-day perm part-time employment, salary packaging options up to $15,900 tax-free, Fitness Passport membership, and paid First Aid certification. Opportunities for career progression with paid Certificate III training are available.
