Job Role Overview
Sofar Sounds is looking for a talented and music-loving individual to join our crew in Perth. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating unforgettable live music experiences for artists, hosts, and audiences alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact at events, ensuring seamless communication with artists, guests, and hosts.
- Bring the magic of Sofar Sounds to life by representing our brand and values to all stakeholders.
- Support artists in making the most of their Sofar experience, including promoting merchandise, driving signups, and assisting with gear setup.
- Collaborate with hosts and other crew members to set up and run events, guaranteeing a smooth, safe, and timely experience.
- Connect with guests, welcoming them, MCing, and fostering a sense of community during the show.
- Support with administrative tasks and event organization to ensure the success of each event.
- Work closely with the local Show Experience Manager and regional operations team on shift scheduling and event coordination.
- Contribute to the coordination and transportation of event supplies.
- Complete detailed event recap forms to provide valuable feedback.
Requirements
- Experience in producing live music events or similar events.
- A strong background in music or experience working closely with musicians in a live setting.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and willingness to travel to various locations in the local area.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, particularly in fast-paced situations.
- Ability to adapt to varied tasks and projects, wearing many hats as needed.
- Previous experience with Sofar Sounds and a genuine passion for music.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Eligibility for employment in Australia.
