Drive Project Success

Our Canberra office is seeking a skilled Cost Manager to provide expert services across various stages of construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate cost plans and budgets for large-scale projects.

  • Developing and maintaining detailed cost plans from initial concept through to project completion.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and value engineering exercises to optimise project costs.
  • Preparing and analysing tender documentation, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates.
  • Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to ensure best value for clients.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project costs, including cash flow forecasting and cost-to-complete analyses.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar field.
  • 3-10+ years of experience in cost management roles, ideally in a consultancy environment.
  • Previous experience working on construction projects for government agencies such as the Department of Education, Defence, and Health (highly desirable).
  • Experience liaising or managing clients, contractors, and consultants.
  • Preferable RICS and/or AIQS accreditation.
  • Proficiency in CostX software.
