Network Operations Strategist

Overview
A highly skilled and accomplished Network Operations Strategist is required to lead critical functions at the heart of our organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Networks, this role will oversee 24/7 NOC operations ensuring prompt incident resolution and clear communications during critical events.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee 24/7 NOC operations, ensure prompt incident resolution, and maintain clear communications during critical events.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to prepare for future technologies and deliver best-in-class network observability and tooling.
- Act as the key escalation point, champion root cause analysis, and drive excellent service outcomes.
- Mentor Team Leads, inspire a culture of continuous improvement, and manage resource planning and shift structures.
- Track KPIs, enforce compliance, and lead operational reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7+ years' experience in NOC or network operations leadership ideally in a carrier-grade or wholesale telco environment.
- Deep technical knowledge of IP networking (BGP, MPLS, VPN), Cisco/Juniper infrastructure, and tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to empower and develop high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned processes and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) is highly regarded.
