Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a small group of team members, creating rosters, generating orders, and conducting stock takes. You will work closely with the Dairy & Freezer Manager to achieve sales growth and maintain excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations
  • Create effective rosters to meet business needs, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing overtime
  • Generate accurate and timely orders, maintaining optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
  • Conduct regular stock takes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize inventory management
  • Liaise with suppliers, negotiating prices and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and improve product visibility

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the grocery or retail industry
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive business growth
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures
  • Familiarity with cash handling and point-of-sale systems
