Key Roles and Responsibilities
The primary function of this position is to deliver exceptional service to customers by completing repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products, diagnosing and repairing Cummins engines, performing engine rebuilding and reconditioning, and ensuring adherence to Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
To achieve success in this role, the ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, accountability for meeting commitments, nimble learning and adaptability, planning and prioritization, Health and Safety Fundamentals, Diagnostics Application, Electrical Knowledge, Electronic Service Tool Application, Mechanical Knowledge, Product Repair and Maintenance, Service Documentation, and Technical Escalation skills.

- Electronic Service Tool Application: Utilize electronic service tools to diagnose and repair issues.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Have in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
- Product Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repair of heavy diesel products.
- Service Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Technical Escalation: Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
Essential Qualifications:
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
Desirable Experience:
- Minimal level of workshop experience required
- Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
