Job Overview

You will play a vital role in our production team, working efficiently and cohesively within a rotating roster to ensure the welfare of domestic poultry, supporting the efficient production of high-quality eggs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily checks in poultry sheds to guarantee the care and health of young birds;
  • Handle, identify, and inspect poultry for optimal performance;
  • Maintain productivity standards by following established practices and completing activities on-site;
  • Prioritize quality control according to business-established quality assurance standards;
  • Ensure compliance with Animal Welfare and good stock practices for the care and handling of birds;
  • Participate in training sessions and work within designated job scopes;
  • Accurately complete necessary documentation;
  • Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in agriculture, animal science, or related field;
  • Technical proficiency in poultry rearing systems;
  • At least 2 years' experience in commercial poultry production;
  • A caring attitude towards poultry livestock and commitment to relevant legislation and work standards;
  • Self-motivation and drive to excel in your role;
  • Above-average literacy and numeracy skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

A genuine interest in agriculture and willingness to learn; Physical fitness to work in various environments.
