Job Title: Farm Labourer

A dynamic and physically demanding role requires a highly skilled individual to ensure the optimal welfare of birds during catching and placement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various physical tasks including heavy lifting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, and pushing trolleys with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment is crucial while performing other tasks as directed, including shed cleaning or gardening duties.

About the Role:

This position is based in a relaxed rural environment within the Darling Downs region of Queensland.

Irregular hours between 60-80 per fortnight may include early morning starts or late evening/night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently load/unload birds in accordance with established work practices;
  • Work closely within intensive livestock systems;
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace;
  • Other tasks as directed.

Requirements:

  • Be physically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks;
  • Work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Have reliable transport and live within a 20km radius of Millmerran;
  • Show a "can do" attitude by working cooperatively and efficiently to meet daily requirements;
  • Take responsibility for completed work;
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills;
  • Pay attention to detail for both husbandry and quality assurance tasks.
