About This Role:

We're looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our project delivery team.

As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for designing, templating, and creating upholstered goods and soft furnishings for commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret upholstery specifications and drawings to determine materials, tools, and techniques required for each job.
  • Design and assemble frames suitable for commercial use and specifications.
  • Install webbing, springs, and other upholstery-related fittings suitable for commercial use.
  • Plan, pattern, measure, cut, and sew various foams and fabrics to suit specified project finishes.
  • Manage and maintain efficient stock levels to achieve business outcomes.
  • Liaise with other team members to ensure all necessary resources are available to fulfill projects.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Upholstery plus one year's experience or three years' experience as an upholsterer.
  • Familiarity with various upholstery techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification or willingness to obtain.
