Job Opportunity: Secondary TAS Teacher
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary TAS Teacher to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Christian teaching and learning programs aligned with the TAS curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver curriculum-aligned programs across practical subjects, including Design and Technology, Food Technology, Industrial Technology, Software Engineering, and other practical based disciplines.
- Utilise technology to enhance learning outcomes, including CAD software, CAM technology, and digital portfolios.
- Ensure smooth transitions between theoretical and practical lessons, while maintaining a safe and organised classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students through regular meetings, emails, and phone calls.
- Supervise student safety in workshops, labs, and during recess, lunch, and bus zones.
- Participate in school committees, such as student council, P&C, or sound and lighting, as required or voluntarily.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- NESA teacher accreditation
- Current Working with Children Check
- Substantial experience in teaching students TAS lessons
- Experience in strengths-based quality teaching framework based on Explicit Instruction
- Demonstrated experience in integrating technology in teaching and learning, providing feedback, monitoring and reporting on student progress, pastoral care, thinking biblically, and relevance to individual needs
Selection Criteria:
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and willingness to support the vision of the College
- Knowledge of and commitment to child safety in an education setting
- NESA teacher registration and post-graduate qualifications in special education
- Substantial experience in leading a team in TAS curriculum
- Demonstrated experience in varying teaching methods, classroom or practical format
