Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our Small Law New Business team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving new business acquisition across the legal, small-law market through effective cold calling, prospecting, and closing to achieve monthly billing targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business acquisition and market penetration through high levels of outbound activity, including cold calls, email outreach, and in-person visits.
  • Qualify potential clients through expert discovery, leveraging proven sales techniques to understand client needs and provide recommendations for applicable LexisNexis solutions.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycles, with a proven track record of closing opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders in strategic and designated accounts.
  • Maintain accurate databases of activity, client interaction, and opportunity sales stage and prediction of sale success.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Director, Marketing & Inside Sales in lead generation and opportunity identification.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified with demonstrated years of work experience, preferably in the legal solutions market.
  • Proven track record of high achievement and performance against sales objectives.
  • Proficient in solution selling or software sales.
  • Highly competent in communication and negotiation with staff at all levels within a law firm.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and negotiation.
  • Able to collaborate and partner to meet customer needs.
