Infrastructure Specialist Job Opportunity

This role involves implementing, managing, and retiring infrastructure that supports digital services. You will work closely with key suppliers to ensure the provision of a robust gateway infrastructure capability for the business, and liaise with architecture and shared services areas to ensure day-to-day technical operations security.

This position requires expert technical support across project lifecycles, including build, test, and deployment phases, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with organizational goals.

A key aspect of the role is the preparation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation—such as design blueprints, implementation plans, test protocols, and support procedures—to ensure clarity, consistency, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have significant years of demonstrated experience in the design, management, and maintenance of internet gateway and/or large-scale data center networking environments.

Demonstrated experience and technical proficiency in the design of services utilizing F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems, Cisco Data Center technologies, Palo Alto firewalls and IPS Solutions, and hybrid and public cloud services.

Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of system architecture and design documentation, and knowledge of Australian Government information security policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage ICT infrastructure to meet future demands

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate expertise in these areas and contribute to the development of ICT strategies, policies, and change initiatives.
