Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team at the ABN Group, a leading player in construction, property, and finance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the development of our Integrated Management System.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. As an HSEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting project teams, conducting risk assessments, and providing technical advice to stakeholders. You will also play a key role in reviewing subcontractor HSEQ documentation and establishing cooperative working relationships with various stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working in construction or a similar industry, holding a Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent, and possessing current drivers' licenses and Construction Induction Training (White Card). Strong computer software skills, including MS Office, are essential, as well as attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project teams in implementing, maintaining, and improving the PACT Integrated Management System.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and internal and external audits.
  • Provide accurate and timely technical advice to stakeholders and assist with legal compliance.
  • Review subcontractor HSEQ documentation as part of the onboarding process and assist them to develop and document safety processes.
  • Establish a cooperative working relationship with all stakeholders, including subcontractors, regulators, and clients.
  • Lead incident and injury management, including reporting and investigations.
  • Work with the project team to review and monitor subcontractor HSEQ performance.

Salary and Location

The salary for this position is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ABN Group is based in Australia, with opportunities for growth and development across the country.
