Leadership Position in Primary Education

About the Role:

The Dean of Primary Years plays a pivotal senior leadership role, overseeing leadership and management across all aspects of Primary Years. As a member of the Leadership Team, this individual supports the future focus of the college's strategic plan by fostering student growth in learning, academic standards, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead teaching and learning, spiritual formation, pastoral care, and administration across Primary Years
  • Partner with Senior Leadership and Middle Leaders to drive curriculum frameworks and plan future directions within the Primary Years curriculum and wellbeing areas
  • Oversee the application of contemporary learning and teaching research and data analysis to classroom practice through continuous whole-school strategic and professional development

Requirements:
  • Accomplished expertise in a Middle Leadership role within a primary context
  • Robust and current understanding of young boys (in particular, students aged 10-12 years old) and boys' education
  • Recognised capabilities in strategic and operational leadership, including leading staff pedagogical practice
