As the Rail Systems Testing and Commissioning (T&C) Manager, you will report directly to the Testing and Commissioning Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the T&C processes within your designated project area, ensuring that all objectives related to safety, profitability, cost efficiency, quality, and environmental management are met.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the transition of rail systems between construction and commissioning teams.
  • Leading readiness assessments with stakeholders and the client team.
  • Creating and evaluating T&C plans.
  • Taking accountability for the testing and commissioning activities in your assigned area.
  • Ensuring adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinating resources to align with the testing timetable.
  • Contributing to cost and program evaluations and updates as necessary.

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A recognized degree in electrical, mechanical, or controls engineering, or other relevant technical qualifications.
  • Membership in the Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) or the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in senior project delivery roles.
  • Proven ability to manage teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, including project planning from inception to completion.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in team development and mentoring.
