About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager (High Voltage) to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the project fully implements the Laing O'Rourke Health, Safety and Environmental Management System and provides leadership for the Behavioural Based Safety initiative.
  • Lead the planning, delivery, and integration of Testing, Commissioning, Entry into Service, and Asset Acceptance of all project elements, including civil, electrical, earthing, mechanical, communications, and control systems.
  • Develop and approve related project testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning documentation for each discipline, including vendor-supplied major equipment.
  • Develop material and lead training for operations and maintenance teams to ensure operator competence at handover.
  • Verify commissioning resources as competent for tasks undertaken.
  • Ensure commissioning activities are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with project milestones.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including energy regulators, asset operations, and maintenance teams.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred)
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role involving switchyards and transmission lines
  • Individual discipline Testing and Commissioning experience in Energy transmission projects
  • Working on multi-disciplined projects
