Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandise Stocker to join our team at Costco Lake Macquarie. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring our shelves are fully stocked and merchandise is presented in an attractive and organized manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock and straighten merchandise for sale in the warehouse, ensuring high product levels and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Clear and clean aisles, assisting members and ensuring a safe and efficient shopping experience.
  • Communicate with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plans and priorities, and write lists of products to be brought from the steel for stocking.
  • Stock opened cases on shelves, move and position pallets of merchandise using manual pallet jacks, and stack product from partial pallets to full pallets.
  • Use a box knife to cut boxes for display and accessibility of product, and wrap or tie and tag pallets to be returned to the steel.
  • Mark product numbers on unmarked items using a marking gun, and observe and ensure correct product signage.
  • Set up display models, assemble as necessary, and modify displays for safe handling by members.
  • Pull loose cardboard and slip-sheets from the floor, clear sales floors of debris, and sweep. Remove empty pallets from the sales floor, operate cardboard balers and trash compactors, and rewrap loose product using shrink-wrap machines.
  • Provide prompt and courteous member service, helping members to load large items into their carts and directing them to products.
Non-Essential Functions and Tasks
  • Assist with front-end duties as necessary.
  • Assist other areas in the department as necessary.
  • Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
