Nursing Team Lead Role Overview

This Nursing Team Lead role is a critical position within our healthcare team, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and fostering an environment that encourages effective communication.

 

About the Job:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in anaesthetic and recovery nursing, with a strong background in peri-operative care. They will be responsible for leading a team of skilled nurses to deliver exceptional patient care, leveraging their expertise to promote best practices and drive quality improvements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring seamless handovers and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive work environment, promoting open communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes, streamlining processes and improving efficiency where possible.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive excellence.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, staying up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in peri-operative care.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in anaesthetic and/or recovery nursing, with a strong focus on peri-operative care.
  • Post-graduate certificate in peri-operative nursing (or working towards).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, driving quality improvements and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and patients alike.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying current on industry trends and advancements.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

What We Offer:
