Lawyer Associate Role

Maurice Blackburn is seeking a passionate and experienced lawyer associate to join our Brisbane Asbestos & Dust Diseases team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury law, particularly in dust and asbestos litigation. They will also have strong client focus, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and a 'can-do' attitude.

The role involves working collaboratively with a high-performing team to strive for fair outcomes for clients. The successful candidate will also be required to foster and manage relationships with referrers and other external parties.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional legal services to clients
  • Develop business development opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

  • Graduate to 2-3 years post-admission experience
  • Experience in personal injury law (dust/asbestos litigation, workers compensation or medical negligence)
  • Strong legal, commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong client and relationship building skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and an ability to multi-task
