people2people are recruiting a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Manager to work for a State Government Department on a 12-month fixed contract. Located in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs, offering hybrid work arrangements after training.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the administration of fleet processes, including the acquisition, leasing, and disposal of vehicles in line with policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all fleet-related enquiries, providing exceptional customer service and expert advice on purchasing and fleet management.
- Manage insurance requirements, including reporting on asset thefts, damages, and disposals.
- Coordinate all fleet accident and incident claims, ensuring accurate record-keeping and processing of insurance claims.
- Collaborate with external suppliers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient provision of goods and services related to the fleet.
- Develop and implement systems and processes for effective fleet management.
- Support staff training on the online requisitioning system and recommend system improvements.
- Proven experience in fleet management, with a strong background in purchasing, procurement, finance, or contracts management.
- Tertiary qualification in fleet management, finance, procurement, legal/contracts management, or a related business field.
- Ability to manage and coordinate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Victorian fleet policies and experience in managing fleet compliance and insurance.
- Supportive team environment.
- 12 month fixed term contract with potential for extension.
- Hybrid work arrangements on offer after training.
