Effective Team Leadership in Communications

Job Description:

The role of a Team Leader within the Communications Group is to oversee and manage a team of Communications Operators within a designated Communications Centre. This involves ensuring high-quality customer service and effective issue resolution in accordance with current standards and policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining consistent service levels through effective resource scheduling, leave management, and staff performance reviews. Additionally, Team Leaders are responsible for identifying and providing training and development needs and guidance to staff members as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a Communications Centre team to ensure high-quality customer service and effective issue resolution.
  • Maintain consistent service levels through effective resource scheduling, leave management, and staff performance reviews.
  • Identify and provide training and development needs and guidance to staff members as required.
Role Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a 6-month Communications Operator Training Program during probation.
  • Participation in a 24-hour, 7-day roster with work hours of 36.25 hours per week; shift penalties apply.
  • Possibility of alcohol and/or drug testing as per policy and relevant legislation.
  • Completion of typing, cognitive ability, and psychological assessments.
