About the Role

As a department leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the deli department. This includes maintaining exceptional presentation, ensuring a welcoming and engaging environment for customers, team members, and the community.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will have full accountability for the day-to-day running of the department. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing your team to meet sales targets, cost control, and rostering requirements
  • Maintaining excellent department standards including monitoring stock, rotation routines, waste, and quality control
  • Driving a one-team culture that celebrates success and prioritizes team members' health, safety, and wellbeing
  • Delighting customers with an outstanding shopping experience

You will work closely with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives and contribute to a positive store environment.

About You

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment
  • Direct or indirect leadership experience as you will need to lead, coach, and develop your team to meet sales targets, cost control, and rostering requirements
