Control Systems Professional

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems/Automation professional to join our organization in Melbourne.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and integrating control systems into industrial machinery and smart factory solutions.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain complex systems of systems in automated factory programs.
- Participate in thorough testing and validation activities.
- Prepare and execute work packages as assigned to agreed project milestones.
- Design, develop, and integrate IEC PLC code.
- Conduct technical and design reviews, and design interfaces.
- Provide regular project updates, risks, and issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, electrical or electronic engineering, or a related field.
- Approx. 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in high-level PLC programming (ST, SFC, SL).
- Experience with Codesys/Beckhoff TwinCAT or other IEC 61131-3 based PLC programming.
- Skill in efficient error reporting system design and fault-finding best practices.
- Knowledge of sizing, selection, setup, and testing of electrical and controls hardware.
- Industrial machinery design from concept to detailed design.
- Design for machine safety, risk assessment, safety function design, safety calculations, safety PLC programming, and validation.
- Fieldbus networking via EtherCAT, MODBUS, TCP/IP.
- Machinery design for servo drives, PLC, VFD, and robots.
