About the Role

Austin Health is seeking a highly experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Educator. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing mental health nursing care through evidence-based and contemporary nursing education and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Mental Health Nurse and Manager of Nursing Education Mental Health to develop and deliver an education program that increases mental health nursing knowledge, skill capacity, and improved patient outcomes.
  • Provide professional supervision to support and ensure the effective delivery of quality clinical services.
  • Participate and support the delivery of all Early Career Nursing programs.
  • Coordinate and provide nursing education and training activities, including promoting mandatory training and other training packages.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring with you:

  • Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
  • Registered Nurse, Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
  • Vast mental health clinical experience in a range of clinical settings.
  • A thorough knowledge of the principles of clinical or professional supervision.
  • Highly developed communication and teaching skills to effectively support a wide range of nursing experience and skill level.
