The Forensic Medicine Centre seeks a qualified Mortuary Manager to oversee the centre's operations and support Forensic Pathologists during autopsies and post-mortem examinations.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Forensic Medicine Centre, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with Forensic Pathologists to provide high-quality autopsy and post-mortem examination services.
  • Lead a small team of mortuary technicians in best practice procedures and protocols.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.

This role requires strong technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and dignity when dealing with sensitive cases.

This is a key technical position that offers opportunities to develop your expertise in forensic medicine and work collaboratively with a dedicated team.

Eligibility/Other Requirements
  • A relevant qualification in mortuary practice or a degree in science or health sciences, including coursework in biology or forensics.
  • An unrestricted C-Class driver's licence.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including after-hours and weekends, and willingness to participate in an on-call roster.
  • Vaccination against Hepatitis B and other applicable vaccines.
