The role is seeking an individual to lead the development, implementation and enhancement of a sustainability assurance methodology in line with Australian Standards on Sustainability Assurance Engagements (ASSA).

This includes developing, implementing and maintaining the company's sustainability assurance methodology in accordance with ASSA 5000 and other emerging standards.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability assurance methodology that aligns with industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to client-facing teams on complex sustainability assurance engagements.
  • Collaborate with audit and assurance teams to ensure effective application of sustainability assurance methodologies.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of sustainability assurance specialists.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory and standard-setting environments and integrate into methodology and practice.
About You:
  • Hold a graduate degree in Accounting, Economics or Business majoring in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Be CA Qualified (or equivalent).
  • Have excellent technical accounting knowledge and skills, including applied knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards.
  • Demonstrate experience in performing and/or reviewing sustainability assurance engagements.
  • Have a broad range of client experience across various industries.
  • Exhibit strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing people and technical deliverables.
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate complex technical matters for diverse audiences.
