Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Lead Room Leader in one of our Melbourne campuses. This is a full-time opportunity to work with a supportive and collaborative team, offering a competitive salary of $66,000 to $72,000 + Super, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional educational programs, developing positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the room. Key accountabilities include:

  • Ensuring child safety and welfare at all times through active supervision and engagement.
  • Delivering high-quality education and care, aligning with the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and implement engaging learning programs, utilizing the OAC Grow curriculum.
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's progress, using the OAC Connect app.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and families, promoting partnerships and shared outcomes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Registered Training Organisation (or equivalent ACECQA approved qualifications).
  • A minimum of two years' full-time relevant work experience.
  • A genuine passion for Early Childhood education and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
