Occupational Therapist for Young Children

This role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families.

Job Description:

  • As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with children aged 0-4 years and their families in the Southern metropolitan region of Adelaide. You will provide assessment and therapeutic developmental services, working alongside Speech Pathologists, Clinical Psychologists, and Therapeutic Care Staff.

  • Develop and implement strategies for individual, joint, and group work, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and their families.

  • Provide training and consultation to other staff members, agencies, and community groups, sharing your expertise and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to relate well to, work with, and support children and their families from various cultures and backgrounds, often in complex vulnerable situations.

  • Strong teamwork knowledge and skills, with the ability to communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully with colleagues.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of occupational therapy assessments and interventions, with the ability to make complex clinical decisions.
