
Heavy Vehicle Supervisor

The role is based in Hume, ACT and involves supervising all workshop operations and looking after heavy vehicles, forklifts, compactors, and plant machinery.
- Leadership Role: Lead your team with hands-on guidance and effective mentoring.
- Maintenance Expertise: Quickly diagnose and repair modern diesel trucks, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment.
- Downtime Reduction: Prioritize urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and coordinate maintenance, ensuring all machinery remains service-ready and compliant.
- Procurement and Inventory Management: Manage procurement and inventory, raise purchase orders, order parts, track stock, and oversee administrative tasks.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation.
- Liaison Role: Serve as the key liaison for suppliers, contractors, logistics, and operations teams.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety & compliance protocols, including inductions, procedures, and contractor oversight.
Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
