**Job Title:** Workshop Supervisor

**The Role:** In this hands-on leadership position, you will be responsible for supervising all workshop operations. You will oversee the maintenance of heavy vehicles, forklifts, compactors, and plant machinery.

 

**Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise internal team members and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors
- Diagnose and repair modern diesel trucks, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment
- Prioritize urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance to ensure all machinery remains service-ready and compliant
- Manage procurement and inventory, including ordering parts and tracking stock
- Maintain accurate records of fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation
- Serve as the primary liaison for suppliers, contractors, logistics, and operations teams
- Enforce safety and compliance protocols, including inductions, procedures, and contractor oversight

 

**Requirements:**
- Qualified diesel mechanic with an HR driver's license (mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience with heavy vehicles and plant machinery:
- Strong procurement and inventory management skills
- Competency with maintenance management systems and basic IT tools
- A calm and adaptable approach under pressure
- Proven leadership experience, managing both employees and subcontractors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison abilities
