We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Global Skilled Employment Services in Port Wakefield, SA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring minimum downtime of electrical systems, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe work environment for tradespeople and operators, complying with legislative and JBS safety requirements.
  • Ensure minimum downtime of all plant electrical and control systems through prompt response to and resolution of equipment breakdown.
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts and equipment to cover all critical areas and source prospective suppliers of new and existing equipment.
  • Communicate plant issues to maintenance and production supervisors.
  • Identify and develop potential plant and operational efficiency improvements to improve plant production and minimize downtime and waste.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Mechanical trade qualifications or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
  • Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
  • A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices.
  • Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
  • Sound computer skills.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.

What We Offer:

  • A comprehensive salary package from $73,150 p.a. plus superannuation.
  • A tool allowance of $25 per shift if working on the Gas Box, Cooker, Save-All pits, or Tallow Tank.
