Counselor for Adolescent Wellbeing

We are seeking a skilled School Psychologist to join our team at Caulfield Grammar School's Wheeler's Hill Senior Campus. This is a Part-Time, 6-month Fixed Term opportunity that works during Term time only and allows you a break during the school holidays.
About the RoleAs a School Psychologist, you will be part of a team counselling adolescent students and building strong professional relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery of counselling services. You will also liaise with staff, students, parents, and external professionals as needed. In addition to this, you may be managing educational, social, behavioural, and emotional difficulties, as well as performing educational assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Support the psychological, social, and emotional wellbeing of students through expertise application.
- Provide individual and group counselling support to students, including risk assessments when required.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and other relevant parties to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Develop and implement crisis response plans, and participate in critical incident management.
- Promote positive pastoral care and personal development practices within the school community.
- Demonstrated experience as a psychologist working with adolescents in a school-based environment.
- Valid registration with AHPRA and relevant qualifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff, students, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Adherence to Australian Psychological Society Codes of Ethics.
- A current Working With Children Check.
The estimated salary range for this position is AU$85,000 - AU$115,000 per annum, plus a competitive superannuation package. Additional benefits include:
