Claims Leadership Opportunity with EML

Our goal is to provide ongoing support to injured workers, enabling them to return to work successfully. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in achieving this goal by proactively managing claims, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing coaching and mentoring to team members.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme. You will be an empathetic, resilient, and motivational individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A strong focus on detail, stakeholder engagement, and team collaboration is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims to achieve the optimum outcome of early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers, and other stakeholders to create an effective Return to Work strategy.
- Assist the worker and employer with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations, and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery.
- Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policies while undertaking ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments.
- Respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
