Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team. As a Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervisors and senior auditors in planning audits, including scope creation and reviewing materials
  • Conduct interviews with auditees, prepare notes for review, and develop a detailed understanding of the entity's operations and industry standards
  • Evaluate procedures and documentation in internal financial and operating control systems, determining compliance with corporate policies and assessing risk

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
  • 2-3 years of audit experience, preferably with investments, superannuation, compliance, insurance broking, or consulting auditing experience considered advantageous
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities
