Effective leaders with excellent interpersonal and communication skills are sought to join our team in a supervisory role within the Perth operation.

This is a 24/7 rotation position that requires the incumbent to oversee and support the operational management of the cargo warehouse facility and administrative tasks supporting all key functions of the business including; warehouse, office and client services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a customer centric cargo operation by supervision, organisation and coordination of all work areas during an operational shift. On-the-job team coaching, mentoring and performance feedback will also be required to achieve high levels of performance and service excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • On-the-job team coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to achieve high levels of performance and service excellence;
  • Ensure the efficient and effective allocation of resources to deliver operational requirements and meet Service Level Agreements;
  • Deliver to and monitor business processes and standard operating procedures ensuring compliance to industry standards, legislation and policies;
  • Provide quality metrics and reporting on critical business issues;

Safety is paramount and the incumbent must demonstrate a commitment to driving a positive safety culture within the team focussed on awareness and vigilance. This includes:

  • Compliance with legislative Health & Safety requirements;
  • Development and maintenance of a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance;
  • Conducting work in accordance with Health & Safety Management System;
  • Follower of all safety work procedures and guidelines provided;

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and a commitment to driving a customer centric service culture within the team;
  • Good communication skills both written and oral and negotiation skills;
  • High level of computer literacy;
  • Previous experience in a highly controlled and regulated industry with the ability to lead, translate, implement and manage ongoing compliance, industry standards and legislative requirements into standard operations;
  • Understanding of financial and budget processes and ability to drive business improvement initiatives;

Desirable criteria include:

  • Previous experience in or knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures;
  • Knowledge of all aspects of cargo handling and warehouse.
