As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our base plant and finishing plant teams at our Kwinana Pigment Processing Facility. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team and contribute to the success of our business.

The successful candidate will have experience in supervising teams, preferably in a manufacturing or processing environment, and a strong understanding of permit systems and safe work practices. They will also have excellent communication and coordination skills, as well as a proactive safety-first mindset with knowledge of risk management in major hazard facilities.

Key responsibilities will include managing a team to deliver operational excellence, focusing on safety, quality, timing, and cost control. This will involve coordinating routine non-shift activities aligned with SQLCST objectives, collaborating with the operations lead to ensure efficient execution of daily schedules, and providing skilled operational support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

The role also requires managing team coverage to ensure smooth execution of routine and essential activities, responding to break-in work and emerging maintenance needs, and monitoring and controlling costs associated with non-shift activities.

For the base plant supervisor, ensuring all permits are issued accurately and on time to support maintenance and production activities will be critical. For the finishing plant supervisor, overseeing warehouse operations, inventory management, and product dispatch will be key.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience supervising teams, preferably in a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong understanding of permit systems and safe work practices in high-risk industrial settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate routine and non-shift activities with a focus on safety, quality, and cost.
  • Technical skills in troubleshooting and supporting continuous process operations.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments and shifts.
  • A proactive, safety-first mindset with knowledge of risk management in major hazard facilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to operational needs.
  • Familiarity with SQLCST principles and a commitment to operational excellence.
  • Experience with SAP operating systems.
