Lead Our Junior School Music Program

This position requires an experienced and dedicated educator to develop and nurture the musical learning of all students.

This is a full-time leadership role that includes a substantive ongoing teaching position. You will work closely with the co-curricular music department and ensembles to provide a stimulating classroom music environment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum for junior school students.
  • Teach music classes from Prep-6 and participate in the whole-school ensemble program.
  • Support the Director of Music in planning events throughout the year.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a junior school music teacher, including experience in classroom music education.
  • Proficiency in the Kodály music curriculum and choral direction is essential.
  • Excellent relationship-building and team management skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • A level of proficiency in a band or string instrument and keyboard accompaniment skills would be beneficial.
