Job Overview

The position involves working collaboratively with the Senior Field Operations Officer to oversee project management related to Light Rail Stages 3 and 4, contributing to the development and implementation of safety systems, operational processes, and reporting tools.

A key aspect of this role is maintaining effective communication with external stakeholders to ensure continuity and safety of waste services during Light Rail developments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead liaison with external stakeholders for safe and effective service delivery
  • Audit and monitor waste services and contractor compliance reviews
  • Conduct timely site inspections and consultation surveys as required for Council Officers, clients, and prospective clients
  • Provide quotations for waste, recycling, green waste, and organics collection services
  • Evaluate and refine standardized functional processes and established service offerings for continuous improvement
  • Deliver services in alignment with City policies, plans, and goals, including the Solid Waste Strategy
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and service neglects in a timely and effective manner
  • Support the development of safety systems, processes, and reporting
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or equivalent, along with relevant experience
  • Relevant demonstrated experience in a similar role, with strong stakeholder liaison and interpersonal skills
  • Certificate IV in Project Management or equivalent, along with relevant experience
  • Driver's License Class C Unrestricted
  • Construction Induction (White Card)
