About the Role: This part-time position offers the perfect opportunity to contribute to essential healthcare services in a close-knit community while experiencing the unique charm of regional South Australia. You will bring consolidated experience and/or further study to deliver care with competence and proficiency, accepting accountability for your own practice standards and delegating tasks responsibly. Additionally, you will provide key support to the Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager in leading the nursing/midwifery team within the ward/unit/service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing/midwifery standards and practices.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Accept accountability for your own practice standards and delegate tasks responsibly.
- Provide key support to the Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager in leading the nursing/midwifery team within the ward/unit/service.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A current practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- At least 3 years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience in supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
- Experience in leadership and management roles.
