Senior Ecologist

We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to lead our ecological technical practice and deliver strategic assessments for diverse projects across Queensland regions. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of ecological experience, a relevant degree, and strong technical skills in fauna, flora, ecological communities, and ecosystems.

About the Role
  • Built an advanced ecological technical practice to support diverse projects and clients' biggest challenges.
  • Manage technical teams to deliver field investigations, impact assessment, and mitigation design.
  • Responsible for outstanding client service through risk-based strategic advice and high-quality technical reporting.
  • Implement efficiencies and digital solutions to collaborate and work smarter.
  • Drive strategic growth, technical excellence, and innovation in ecological assessments and management planning for projects in transport, water security, energy, and future-fuels sectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Over 10 years of ecological experience with a focus on Queensland regions like the Brigalow Belt, North Queensland, and SEQ Bioregions.
  • A relevant degree in environmental science or related field.
  • Strong technical skills in fauna, flora, ecological communities, and ecosystems.
  • Ability to lead project delivery, engage with clients, and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Strong experience in navigating State and Commonwealth environmental approval processes.
  • Proficiency in tools like GIS, remote sensing, and digital solutions to enhance project efficiency.
