Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - Mining Project

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team in Adelaide, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering quantity surveying and estimating services for a significant mining project.

As a key member of our team, you will oversee the development and management of all quantity surveying activities, ensuring alignment with client expectations and industry best practices. You will also be responsible for communication with clients, management, staff, and consultants, as well as managing client variations, hours against project budgets, and monitoring project costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage quantity surveying activities to ensure alignment with client expectations and industry best practices.
  2. Communicate effectively with clients, management, staff, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  3. Manage client variations and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
  4. Monitor project costs to ensure objectives are achieved in accordance with client requirements.
  5. Provide advice on contractual claims and contribute to project execution and contracting strategies.
  6. Produce PEPs and facilitate project close-out meetings as required.
  7. Update the weekly client cost and time report.
  8. Conduct final review of deliverables before client submission.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience as a QS/Estimator.
  3. Strong experience working on Mining Projects.
  4. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  5. Strong cost planning and measurement skills.
  6. In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry.
  7. Proficient in using Estimating Software.
