Strategic Communications Lead: Australian Submarine Program

The Role
This exciting opportunity represents a rare chance to be part of the SSN AUKUS Build Program, a pioneering endeavor that will deliver an essential sovereign capability for Australia. Reporting to the head of Corporate Communications & Media, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality communication outcomes that build, protect, and enhance ASC's brand and reputation.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute external communications for ASC's SSN AUKUS Build program
* Navigate complex stakeholder environments with ease
* Produce high-quality content for corporate documentation, internal communication, traditional media, and digital media
* Ensure all communications align with brand guidelines, uphold ASC's reputation, and meet industry expectations
* Deliver best-in-class communication outcomes across multiple channels
* Identify potential risks to ASC and the AUKUS program, developing mitigation strategies to address these concerns proactively
* Effectively manage resources, track progress, and report as necessary
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications or a related field. Minimum 7 years' experience in Marketing, Media, or Communications is essential, along with a high level of internal and external communication experience. You should also possess a well-established network of media contacts and experience working across integrated teams or matrix-style organizations.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role depends on your ability to obtain and maintain such clearance.
