About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in electrical engineering and asset management. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement analysis methods to determine the performance of electrical transmission/distribution systems and asset classes, with the goal of improving system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement analysis methods to determine performance of electrical transmission/distribution systems and asset classes in order to improve system reliability.
  • Review Horizon Power's electrical transmission/distribution system reliability performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop reliability-driven strategies and improvement initiatives for the management of electrical transmission/distribution asset performance.
  • Develop a repeatable approach and protocols to continually review and improve Horizon Power's electrical transmission/distribution system reliability.
  • Promote long-term strategic programs to increase the efficiency of Horizon Power's assets, referencing long-term planning objectives.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, suitable professional qualifications and experience.
  • Considerable experience in an electrical utility operations or maintenance environment.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and data mining skills to perform reliability-based data analysis using contemporary tools and methodology.
  • Strong understanding of asset performance KPIs, criteria, and assessment methodologies.
  • Experience in power system asset management, maintenance, and operational strategies, planning processes, and practices.
