**Job Overview**

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to deliver procurement advice and support for business units, local education offices, schools and preschools. The successful candidate will undertake procurement projects with limited supervision and ensure that all documentation and activities are compliant with the department's Procurement Framework.

This is an ongoing opportunity for the right candidate to make a meaningful contribution to our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide procurement advice and support for procurement and contracting activities of some complexity;
  • To undertake procurement projects with limited supervision;
  • To ensure that all documentation and activities are compliant with the department's Procurement Framework and Treasurer's Instruction 18.
Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

  • Nil essential qualifications;
  • Desirable relevant tertiary qualifications.
Special Conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check prior to being employed, which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN-EC Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course, which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration and Benefits

The position offers:

  • ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading;
  • A supportive and dynamic work environment.
