About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Professional to join our team at Infrastructure People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading sustainability projects and initiatives, developing and implementing sustainability plans, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve environmental, social, and economic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainability plans and strategies for infrastructure projects
  • Lead ISCA submissions and facilitate workshops and meetings
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve sustainability goals and objectives
  • Enhance our relationship with key external stakeholders, including ISCA, EPA, and local councils
  • Develop and implement a robust sustainability culture across the organization
  • Support the development and implementation of the Company Integrated Management System (IMS)
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in infrastructure projects in a role focused on sustainability, environment, economic, social management or similar areas
  • Tertiary degree in sustainability, engineering, environmental science or related area
  • Knowledge of contemporary best practice approaches to sustainability in design and construction
  • Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading ISCA submissions for Infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Sustainable Development Guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience in the Rail Industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Environmental Act & Regulations, Legislations, Codes of Practices in Queensland (preferred)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of rail sector client requirements, standards and practices (preferred)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of NABERs (preferred)
  • Eligible to obtain a RIW card issued by TfNSW
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs

  • Strong stakeholder and communication management skills
  • Structured approach to problem solving and highly developed technical analytical skills
  • Capable of developing a high-level understanding of client expectations and a high-level ability to form and maintain positive relationships
  • Strong listening and communication skills with an ability to relate to people from a wide range of positions and backgrounds
  • Ability to effectively handle high stress environments with resilience and professionalism
