Job Summary

We provide expert consulting services to Australian superannuation funds, helping them manage their strategy, benefits, and governance.

The role involves using analytical skills to provide insights into the future, managing risks through quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis and research.

You will apply technical knowledge to provide insights on how to mitigate risks, enhance benefit programs, or optimize capital. This requires a high degree of skill, judgment, and acuity.

  • Performing superannuation and other benefit calculations
  • Defining Benefit Funding and Solvency Valuations
  • Monitoring the solvency position of superannuation funds
  • Preparing Accounting Valuations for companies
  • Investment monitoring and recommendations
  • Assisting with advice on superannuation fund benefit design, and costing
  • Reviewing clients' insurance arrangements and analysis of insurance market
  • Liaising with overseas colleagues on multinational clients
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree majoring in Actuarial Studies, with significant progress toward actuarial exemptions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Ability to identify and solve problems creatively
  • Good analytical and research capabilities with the ability to challenge conventional thinking
  • Passion to acquire, share, and disseminate new information and knowledge
  • Evidence of relationship building skills
  • Proactive approach to meeting customers' needs
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills

A strong interest in qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia is desirable.
